Core Values

We believe our purpose as a body of believers is to glorify God in every aspect of our lives, individually and corporately together.

“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

We believe that the Bible is the holy and inerrant word of God. The Bible does not contain the word of God, but rather is the word of God.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe each believer is to serve as a lighthouse drawing all people to Jesus Christ.

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

We believe that every person, Christian and non-Christian alike, is valuable to God and to His kingdom.

Because people are eternally valuable to God, they are to us as well. “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

We believe that God is worthy of our best. Therefore a growing spirit of excellence should permeate every activity.

“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” Colossians 3:23

We believe that genuine love and caring relationships are key to growing as a body of believers. Sunday School is where relationships are nurtured and developed.

“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.” John 15:12

We believe that the most effective evangelism happens through divine appointments which God arranges as we are obedient in our every day lives.

We believe that a life will reach a life. Each believer develops genuine relationships with friends and family and extends an invitation to them. (John 1:43-45)

We believe in identifying and training emerging leaders who are fully committed to Christ and who will reach their generation with the Gospel.

God is raising up men and women who will take the baton of godly character, authentic faith, and servant-hearted leadership into the next generation. (2 Timothy 2:2)

We believe that prayer moves the hand of God.

Nothing is more vital to the Christian or to the church today than learning how to pray in the power of the Spirit. When the church realizes that nothing lies outside the reach of prayer except that which lies outside the will of God, then and only then will we experience real revival and spiritual awakening. “…the effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16b
